Love this venue. Clean and modern in a historic old school. Very relaxed staff and vibe. No weird all ages separation unlike Roseland where imbibers were forced upstairs into tiny balcony and snapped at for blocking walkways due to no room to sit or stand. Quite the contrast.
Had so much fun at a Wolfmother show last week. I love that they kept the old high school feel with historic displays on the top floor and antique flip.seats on the balcony. When the show ended it really did feel like we were decending the stairs from high school. So cool 😎
We had a great time and all the staff at the venue were super helpful and kind. We had great seats for the show we went to see (Old Gods of Appalachia Live: The Price of Progress) and the show was amazing.
The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of stalls and sinks plus the CHOICE of paper or air dryers for your hands.
We didn't visit the bar, as my husband doesn't drink and I had pre-gamed with THC for my crowd anxiety, but from what it looked like it was a good variety and quick service!
The crowd was great too!
The one drawback... The actual seats themselves. The chairs and legroom.... We're clearly designed for middle school children, which makes sense, as it did used to be a middle school (I think). But... The seats look like they're a recent upgrade. Which is a shame, because it means they'll be around for a while.
They're so basic with very little padding, and not much room if you weigh more than a gangly tween. I only mention it, because my butt fell asleep during the 2 hour show and distracted me from the gothic southern horror and made me a fidgety mess. I owe an apology to the poor lady next to me.
